Memories Birthday Present

Hi everyone, (scroll just a bit to read the English text : ).

Vorige week was mijn vriendin jarig.

Last week my friend celebrated her birthday and I decided to make her a present that shows a little bit of her life.
The altering of the memoriegame was inspired by Viola's "Shabby chic inspired".
You can find her in the sidebar of my weblog under favorites.....
"Thank you Viola, your art is absolutely wonderful.
I loved your idea so much that I wanted to try and do something with it.......".

My plan was to find images that represent moments, fases, passions and processes in Annette's live.
Ofcourse in some cases one picture is not just one of all but more of it at the same time.
(sometimes I'm not so sure of my expression in English....
hope you understand what I'm trying to say :).

The images I used came from the Freebiesblogs mentioned in the sidebar.

A few pictures of my workingprocess.....  :)

Before and after.....

Congratulations Annette..........!!

See you next week,

With love,

                     Wilma

  2. Wilma, THIS is gorgeous! I have been wanting to make one of these for my Grandgirls. Using family pictures so they know who is who, since they live so far away, but using family members and granparents who have passed away so they will be aware of them....maybe using a picture of their parents as a chilc and one of them as an adult to match together....What do you think of that idea? I LOVE the way your made this it is so gorgeous on the back sides and the box is exquisite!
You are SO creative! I may do this and put a link to your post on my post, is that alright with you?
    So pretty and fun....
    Hugs to you,
    Betsy

    1. Hi Betsy,
Thank you so much for your sweet comments on my posts !! When I'm in a thriftshop I always look out for old memoriegames like this.
I think your idea is absolutely great! Using two different ages of the same person as a match. It would be so fun for the girls to actually play it as a game !! besides this great item to have for the future.
I would really love to see the result. Of course I like the idea of link on your post, I would love that!! Want to say that I was inspired by Viola of Shabby Chic Inspired !, as I mentioned in the post.

Hugs and Blessings to you Betsy,
      Wilma.
